"I remember days --
Or at least, I try.
But as years go by
They're a sort of haze.
And the bluest ink
Isn't really sky.
And at times, I think
I would gladly die
For a day
Of sky."

"Jim(Goldman) started out wih this lovely phrase, " I remember snow," and I kept trying to work with it, and I knew at the
end I wanted to use the word 'die.' After some hours...I thought, It's called " I Remember Sky," and then I can repeat it at the end and rhyme it with 'die.' The light flashed on, and I was able to go ahead with it.
